About College 4 Canines

Denise Devereux Bsc (Hon) CBM, FdSc ACBT

College 4 Canines is led by Denise, a fully qualified dog behaviourist supporting dogs across Blyth and Northumberland.

I got into dog behaviour when I rescued my first dog Bear he didn't have any training, displayed most dog behaviour problems and was scared of half of life. We were turned down for classes because of his behaviour which made me determined to prove them wrong.

I started learning about dog behaviour but the more I learnt the more fascinated I became . I started my journey academically completing a Foundation Diploma in Canine Behaviour Training and Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour and Management in 2016 with Compass Education.

Through this time me & Bear worked upto Gold Good Citizen Dog Scheme through Kennel Club and shadowed a fellow dog trainer while volunteering for Blue Cross as an Educational Speaker.

Our training philosophy is every dog deserves humane, ethical, force free training regardless of breed, reactive behaviour or the intensity of the reactivity as no dog should be considered a write off.
